So the Eagles clearly made the right call, jettisoning McNabb not one year too early nor one year too late but at the right time, getting real value for him.
And Washington would make everyone forget the botched trade only two years later, by giving up a lot more to get Robert Griffin III. An Orange County mom has filed a police complaint after her daughter was left with a concussion from a sucker punch during a youth basketball game. After two and a half years with the 49ers and zero games played, Jalen Hurd has been released.
The 49ers announced today that they have released Hurd, who had been on injured reserve. A talented athlete who had [more]. Steph had a great reaction as Anthony Edwards told him he was chasing a milestone in Wednesday night's Warriors-T-Wolves game. Bob Myers believes the Warriors will benefit from situations like the one between Draymond and Jordan Poole on the bench Wednesday. Powerful agent Scott Boras was critical of "the fact that the system allowed" Atlanta to win the World Series, despite being under.
If there's any solace for Lamb, it's that he's not alone in his confusion. Bears pass rusher Cassius Marsh was hit with taunting flag The penalty helped the Steelers score a field goal and Matt Nagy's team lost by two points. President Biden referred to the late baseball player Satchel Paige as "the great negro" before correcting himself during his Veterans Day address at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday.
As Odell Beckham Jr. Washington only had to suffer through 1 year of McNabb. Eagles fans had to suffer through 5 years of Nate Allen. Its like choosing between which leg it would be better to have broken. I can imagine how Chip Kelly will feel if he has to face Mariota twice a year in his own division. On the other hand, if Washington drafts Mariota, what will that mean for RG3?
Philly got a 2nd round pick for a McNabb who played less than a season for Washington. Michael Irvin said he would have taken Geno Smith number one, overall. Eagles got a second round pick for a guy who was benched in then traded, then benched in then cut, then retired. Phily got screwed by the clown…then Washington got screwed by this clown…then Minnesota got screwed by this clown…why is he even being talked about?
Remember when McNaab was in the Super Bowl and was too busy puking his guts out in the huddle to properly manage the clock…. Remember when McNabb refused to wear a wristband with the Redskins plays in it because he thought it would make him look stupid? Fun times. Him being traded to the Vikings for anything was worse than the Hershal Walker trade. Dude was worse than Josh Freeman for 6 weeks before he got benched for Ponder who played terribly for 3 years ughhh thank god for Teddy.
Yeah that was awesome. Lol,ahh the packers defense, the joke that keeps on giving! When they trade u within the division that says u have nothing left At first we all said wow how stupid. Mcnabb had really good yrs in Philly but man i never seen anyone who threw that ball in the dirt every game. Everything McNabb said about both of them became true…then he offered to help RGme..
Look what happened there. Instead they LIED about him to the media calling him words like lazy and dumb. Those 2 need to admit they suck.. So does it all really matter? As for the Vikings…that entire train was a colossal failure that was doomed to fail in hindsight. Musgrave is awful. If by screwed you mean being able to enjoy a playoff team almost every year for eleven years, then darn it screwed we were! The reason fans watch sports is for entertainment and fun as none of us are getting paid from it besides betting.
One superbowl and five NFC championship appearances? Some teams during that time struggled to make the playoffs, some of the still are Buffalo , heck the Eagles barely sniffed them in the previous era. Only a clown would say that Philly was screwed by him. Who was receiver who caught the ball? I think the real reason they traded him was to keep them from going after Sam Bradford in the draft that year.
Two of the most pathetic franchises in the NFL. At least the Redskins have actually won a Super Bowl unlike Philly which will never win one. The article failed to mention that once McNabb stunk it up for the Redskins, he took his act to Minnesota to collect some more paychecks. You have to consider in evaluation of this trade, that a year afterward they in turn swindled two 6th round picks by trading him to the foolish vikings.
Knowing what we know, I think if Washington could go back in time and not do this trade, they would. I think if Philly could go back in time and not do this trade, they would still do it… Hence not a lose lose situation….
Skins took a shot McNabb had more in the tank than he did… they lost. Makes me wonder how long has there scout been there. Get a new one. Say what you want about D Mac, he was the best qube the Eagles have had in my lifetime, and probably in franchise history.
Like him or not, the Iggs were relevant when he was there. Say what you want about Big Red, he was the best coach the Eagles have had in my lifetime, and probably in franchise history.
As much as I wanted Dawk and Duce my favorite player ever to finish their careers as Eagles, from a football standpoint AR made the right decision. Perhaps his worst performance came in a blowout loss against his old team. Philly was bounced in the Wild Card round, but it was clear that moving on from McNabb was the right decision, especially since he only lasted one more year in the league.
The veteran quarterback was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in and quietly finished his career there after only making six starts.
